Sketch of American Apparel model, 2014

Dream, 2014

Since I came across my box full of old junk, I decided to play with some of the materials. I found old printmaking paper samples that I got while I was in Milwaukee last year. These papers are made at a mill in Japan, and they're so smooth and so pretty. It made me nervous to use them. I also found old Deleter inks that I've ordered a while back. Deleter is a really good brand of manga/comics ink. They offer different finishes. For inking my comics I like to use the gloss finish, and as for fine art pieces I like to use matte. (Glossy can reflect glares in a gallery.)

"Sketch of American Apparel model" is used with Deleter Manga Ink - Black 3 and Cool Grey no. 4 copic marker.

"Dream" is used with Sakura Koi Watercolors and Le Pen Marker Pen - Fine Point - Black.
