Jogging

This is a no art post, so bear with me.

I've recently read a great post from Inés Estrada's blog here and it got me thinking about old school, late 90s-early '00s blogging I used to do when I was in middle school. Well, it was more like make a webpage, like geocities, and plastering it with right-click saved JPEGS of anime pictures (mainly Sailor Moon). Aw jeez, and I remember joining anime-themed web shrines and web rings and proudly displaying your lame signature in forums. Does anyone know what I'm talking about...? Am I the only one? *sigh*

Anyways, the point of Inés' post was to "chill" on the internet: rather than instantly posting limited character tweets or posting a picture you just snapped on Instagram, you embrace your moment in life, and wait till the end of the day/week/whenever you get a chance to sit at a computer and then you make your post. I thought it was a really interesting take, especially since I made it a new year's resolution to cut back on social media/fucking around on my phone in general.

So, taking her inspiration and advice, I've decided to regularly post not just art, but lame photographs I take of things that inspire me, more moleskin scans, art theories/thoughts/bullshitting, how-to's/WIPs, everyday doodles, and MORE FRICKING COMICS!! Comics are the biggest projects for me right now. Another goal I would like to accomplish this year is to make a book. Mainly it'll be like a coffee table style book, majority of it full of pictures, but I would also like to incorporate some comics in there too.

Shirts with the Naga and the Black Mage designs came in, and they are beautiful. I'm excited to show them at the BMX Spring Fling, and def more excited to have them on sale at my online store. If you're interested in purchasing shirts, stickers, and pins from me, I'll have them up at my storenvy store in April.
